Keyword tracking and rank monitoring for mobile apps
A keyword is either earning installs or taking up space in your metadata, and the only way to tell is to watch its position every day. Keyword Tracking gives every keyword you chose a rank for today, a rank for yesterday and the difference between them โ per country, on the App Store and Google Play.
7 days, full access, no card.

Six columns that decide whether a keyword stays in your metadata
Position alone does not tell you much. Rank next to popularity, difficulty and who else is in the top ten does.
From a list of keywords to a daily answer
Your line and theirs, on the same chart
A number tells you where you are. A chart with eleven competitors on it tells you why. It opens from the keyword row, so you never leave your list to find out who pushed you down and when.
- โFour months of daily positions in one view
- โEvery competitor plotted on the same axes
- โOpens inline, from the row you were already reading

One keyword is a different race in every country
A keyword you rank seventh for at home can be nowhere two borders away โ different competitors, different demand. Every tracked keyword carries its own country table, sorted by rank and by popularity.
- โBest countries by position and by demand, side by side
- โA plus adds the keyword for that market on the spot
- โA tick means you are already tracking it there

The list is not a report, it is a workspace
Most trackers give you a table and send you elsewhere to act on it. Here the next question is answered from the same row: what the store actually shows, what users type around the query, and who is standing in your top ten.
- โLive search โ the store's real results, right now
- โAutosuggest โ what the search bar finishes the query with
- โShow top โ the ten apps you are competing against

Put your semantic core under daily tracking and see what actually moves.

They get confused constantly, and teams end up watching the wrong number. This is the split.
| Keyword Tracking | App Rank Tracker | |
|---|---|---|
| What it follows | The keywords you chose, one by one | The app itself, in charts and categories |
| The number you read | Your position in search for one keyword | Your position among all apps in a category |
| You start from | A semantic core | An app |
| It answers | Is this keyword worth its place in my metadata? | Is the app growing or sliding? |
| Use it when | Planning and checking metadata | Reporting on the app as a whole |

App Rank Trackerย โKeyword Tracking FAQ
How often are keyword positions updated?
Once a day. Every tracked keyword gets a new position, and the table shows it next to the previous one with the change between them, so you never have to remember yesterday's number.
How many keywords can I track?
2,000 on Start, 8,000 on Pro and 15,000 on Expert. The limit is shared across your apps and countries, and what you have used is visible in Profile โ My Organization.
Does it work for both the App Store and Google Play?
Yes. A project is tied to one store, and keyword tracking works the same way in both โ the same columns, the same daily update, the same filters.
Can I track the same keyword in several countries?
Yes, and you should. Tracking is per market: each country keeps its own list and its own counter, and Global Ranking lays every market out in a single table.
Is there a free keyword tracking tool?
Every plan starts with seven days of full access and no card. After the trial the account stays readable โ your projects and keyword lists are kept and can be reactivated at any time. There is no permanently free plan.
What is the difference between keyword tracking and keyword research?
Research finds candidates โ it answers which keywords are worth targeting. Tracking watches the ones you already chose and tells you whether the choice was right. Most teams run research first, then move the survivors into tracking.
How do I add keywords?
Paste a list into Add Keywords, or send them over from Recommended, Metadata, Ranking, Autosuggests and Keywords Analyzer โ anything you approve there lands in tracking.
Can I see how competitors rank for my keywords?
Every keyword shows how many of the top ten are your direct competitors, indirect ones, or apps you do not compete with. For a single keyword, Keywords Analyzer charts your position and your competitors' on the same graph.
Can I organise a large semantic core?
Keywords go into folders โ by feature, market or campaign โ and anything you check daily can be starred into Favorites. Filters cover popularity, rank, difficulty, language and competition in the top ten.
Can I export the data?
Yes. Choose the columns you want, filter the table down to what matters, and export the view you are looking at.
Stop guessing which keywords are working
Add your app, paste your keywords and read the first positions tomorrow morning. Full access for seven days, no card.
